Okay... so this morning my husband was telling me about a lady that sits on the board of directors with him, who had a stroke several weeks ago, she was told by the doctors that she will never improve from the state that she is in right now. She will need 24 hour care for the rest of her life. My heart immediately went out to her and her family. I have met her several times and I do have a relationship with her. I suggested perhaps I could get her family on the phone with Dr. Wallach. I thought that we may be able to help her with some of our products and possibly improve her current state of health... my husband told me that people think that "WE" just want to profit off of other people's illnesses and their miss fortune. Don't get me wrong... I understood he believes that is what people think... he knows why I got into this business and knows my passion for helping people but he also knows how people think... so I wanted to clarify this...
First of all if someone wants me to introduce them to people who were told by their doctors that this is it, this is all you will have and we can not hope for any improvement... I can show you people who now have great health because they did not listen to what the doctors told them. Doctors know a lot but they do not know everything... how could they? There is so much information and knowledge out there... I highly recommend that you do your own research like I did.
Like most parents I took my kids to the doctor several times a year for colds, infections and such, it was unavoidable, so I thought. The Dr. would give me prescriptions to fill, products to buy and away I would go. I asked the doctor if there was anything I could do, what about vitamins, supplements? He said they would not help as long as my kids were eating well they would not need them. However, I never thought for one second that the doctors and pharmacies wanted to keep my family sick so they could profit off of me and my family. Why would I think that! But, now I have a different idea about doctors and health care. More to come on my BlogTalkradio show... The New HealthCare Revolution. (Don't get me wrong doctors can do amazing things.) I also think that doctors are in the business to make money just like the rest of us!
My son is an athlete and I started hearing about athletes dropping dead because of nutritional deficiencies after hard workouts. I watched kids prepare to get on the ice with a candy bar in one hand and soda in the other. Once your kid is a teenager we have very little control about what they eat. So how do we know if they are eating healthy. I did some research and through a good friend (I am now in business with) who is a personal fitness trainer, I started my son on supplements and while he has had a cold here and there I just have him double up on the supplements for a while and it goes away. He hasn't been to the doctor in years for sickness and my daughter swears by supplements now and so do I. I feel so much better as a mom giving supplements to my family.
My sister was diagnosed with RA several months ago and fully accepted her roll as a person with RA. She lost her job and could not work because of the pain. She was ready to be on pain killers for the rest of her life and go through physical therapy and accept her fate. I love my sister and the last thing that I wanted was to see her suffer. She spoke with our very own Dr. Wallach on the phone, started on our products and within 3 weeks had amazing results. She feels so good she forgets she was diagnosed with RA and she has her life back. She has joined me in this business and immediately started thinking about people she loves and cares about and ways she could help them. I love my sister and why would I not want her to have an amazing life too.
Why is it okay for doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies to profit from our illnesses and we don't think twice about it. However, as soon as a friend or family member who truly cares about your quality of life and your health mentions about buying a supplement from them suddenly they are profit mongers and just want to take advantage of you. Why on God's earth would I want to do that. When I am a millionaire I will buy your products for you so you have better health and a better quality of life... all I ask now is that you trust me as someone who loves you and cares about you. That is why I got into this business in the first place.
I am not asking you to get sick so I can make a profit off of you purchasing products from me. Heck, I don't want you to buy products from me, buy them from one of my other distributors if you don't want to help me, but get your quality of life back or better yet... don't get sick. Think of supplements as a preventative maintenance program for the future. Just like health insurance, life insurance and your retirement... oh ya those people make profits off of you too! Or, we can choose to do nothing, keep our heads in the sand, suffer the consequences and spend our retirement years in assisted living. These people around you will make a hell of a lot more money than I will from your illness. Doctors retire and travel around the world, hospitals build new wings to support diabetics, and fat farms profit from obesity... and remember they are doing this because they want YOU to have a better quality of life because they love and care about you.
So, if I approach you and you are a friend, a relative or in some cases someone I just met... I may talk to you about nutrition and supplements if you tell me you are not feeling well or have an illness you are struggling with. If you tell me that you hate your job or wish you could make more money I may mention a business opportunity that I have because it may help you reach your dreams... but never think I am trying to take advantage of you because you are sick, have an illness or have dreams of a better life... I did not contribute to your current state I am only offering solutions to a problem. But, if you have everything you need, you are healthy as a horse and love your job then I will still love and care about you and be happy for you!
I am in this business because I care about my family, my team and the overall wellness and prosperity of the world and if I make money so I can support my family that I love and give back to people I care about... then so be it.
